Advance is an employee benefit that provides you with access to your earned pay before payday. It is not a loan. With Advance, you can access your earned pay at almost any point in the pay cycle. The amount of pay you can access depends on your employer. 50% of your earned income is a typical threshold.

Advance provides the ability to access a percentage of your earned pay before payday. It is not a loan, and simply allows you to withdraw some of the money you have earned through the pay period before your scheduled payday.

How does Advance work?

  • Visit your Salary Finance financial wellbeing hub here
  • Select Advance and create an account - it can take up to 24 hours for your details to be verified
  • Once you've signed up, you'll be able to see how much of your salary you're able to access
  • This isn't a loan, so there's no interest, just a flat fee of up to £2.19 per withdrawal
  • Once you've requested your Advance, the funds will be transferred into your bank account within one working day
  • When paying back your Advance, this will normally be taken from your next payslip. If you request an Advance too close to payroll cut-off, the Advance amount will be collected from your bank account via Direct Debit on payday
